The hunt for peri-peri

Nando’s came to us looking for a creative way to bring their community together while boosting location sales during the slower winter months following the holidays… and they wanted to incorporate the use of 1,000 bottles of their specialty PERi-PERi sauce.

That’s when we pitched the idea of a scavenger hunt that aligned with the National brand partnership with Toronto Raptors’ Pascal Siakam – the Spicy P(ERi-PERi) sauce.

In preparation for the event, we coordinated with the local stores and BIA to hide the sauce bottles, with foodie influencers and local icons to promote the event, and we ran ads behind the event video.

On February 16th, 2020, we invited the community out to hunt as we hid 300 bottles of Nando’s PERi-PERi sauce (299 standard bottles labeled with in-store discounts, and 1 Spicy P bottle labeled with Nando’s meals for 1 year).

Visualize Communications Inc. planned, wrote, produced, ran the advertising, and hosted the event for this campaign.
